Battling the Pine Beetle In Summit County

Keep up the good work, Gibbs

Jan. 18 was the first time I have opened the Daily ("State considering Gibbs' forest health bill") and read a piece of good news about the pine beetle situation. Dan Gibbs is getting something done.

As a community, we should get behind his forest health act and do what we can to get it passed. We finally have someone who will go to bat for Summit County and other affected communities and put a plan in motion to start repairing Colorado's forests.

The fact that Gibbs' bill has the support of the Senate President and other influential legislators shows he not only has the ideas, he knows how to get things done. Get 'em Gibbs, and let us know how to help.
