Battling the Pine Beetle In Summit County
Welcome to the Mountain Pine Beetle Task Force web site. This site is designed to serve as a resource for people to learn more about the history and current state of the beetle epidemic facing our mountain communities.
Our goal is to assist property owners, property owners' associations and property management companies in preventing the spread of the pine beetle while diminishing the danger of wildfires.
We can't eliminate the Pine Beetle, but we can work together to protect our most important forest assets and ourselves from the potentially devastating economic and environmental effects that it will have if left unchecked.
